Thought I'd cheer myself up, from all this cold cold weather we are having, with some daffodils and pretend that it's spring even if its snowing outside!!! Also had a good tidy up in my studio, wow it feels good, should do this more often (but know I wont!).

Really looking forward to the long Easter weekend. Time for lots of making and eating of Easter goodies! I've started by baking some Easter biscuits.

I was watching Mary Berry last night and she made Easter biscuits as well!!!

Now back to making...
I've also been designing a sew on label for my tea towels. I just need to work out what fabric to have them printed on. If I print them on the linen cotton canvas I'm worried it will be too thick. I'll try it out this weekend.

Yippee... Just had a massive parcel of fabric arrive, I wont be bored this weekend!!!

...so I best get sewing!!!

Friday 15 March 2013

I wanted to start this post with a little bit of spring to cheer us all up! I found these lovely snowdrops so I thought I'd share them. So pretty...

I have been busy making tea towels this week so there are now some more floral tea towel available to buy in my shop!

I think these two designs look really pretty together.

I've also been thinking of how I can make my craft stall attractive so a few weeks ago I found this towel rail in an antiques centre near me.

And I though it would be a great way of displaying my tea towels. So I've sanded it down...

 I've put primer on it...

Now I just have to decide what colour to paint it. Do I do it just white or an off white?

Sunday 3 March 2013

My new Blue fabric with white polka dots has arrived, yippee! Made some tea towels, of course!

To this design I've added a pink ribbon so you can also hang the tea towel on a hook. I thought this might be useful. So going to do this from now on.

I'm also really pleased with how the collection is coming together, you can mix and match any designs together to will brighten your kitchen!

After the success of my lavender heart promotion, my tea towels are now being stocked by the Ugly Duckling of Artisans in Ashby de las Zouch. Very exciting. Frantically ordering more fabric so I can make more tea towels, napkins and want to make aprons too.
